“He didn’t always remember to brush his hair, yet his ideas helped give the world television. A brilliant read for anyone who never stops asking why.”
A teacher called him "a lazy dog". Nobody says that now.
Who Was Albert Einstein? is an illustrated biography that tells the life story of the scientist whose ideas changed the modern world.
This chapter book follows Albert from a boy who hated school to a young man at a patent office, writing scientific papers that other scientists built on for decades. It sets out to answer a simple question: everyone knows his name, but what exactly did he do?
What they'll discover
- How asking questions his teachers couldn't answer got Albert expelled from school.
- How life at the patent office suited him, even if he often forgot to brush his hair.
- How his discoveries and theories led to inventions like TV, and to the atom bomb.
