“Even Ganesha has work the next morning here, and that cheeky tone runs all through. Pure silliness for readers who like every story to end in a snort.”
Flying elephants, short-necked giraffes and a Moon who laughs at Ganesha.
When Elephants Had Wings & Other Funny Stories is a collection of 25 outrageous tales about animals, gods and some very silly people.
Meet a girl so fed up with farts that she leaves home, and a boy who believes he knows no fear. Find out why the rooster crows each morning, and what happened the day the sun decided not to rise.
Why children love it
- Ganesha eats so many modaks that poor Mushak the Mouse can barely carry him home.
- A short-necked giraffe and his sleepy rhino friend plan a visit to a wise sangoma.
- Lively black-and-white drawings, from a bubbling potion bottle to Ganesha's laden plate.
