“For the little one who trails Paati round the garden, here’s one where they get to help. Every slider hands them a proper job, which is all a small helper wants.”
Seeds in, water on, and up come the sunflowers.
Bizzy Bear: Little Gardener is a rhyming slider board book about Bizzy Bear planting and growing flowers in his garden.
Bizzy Bear can't wait to fill his garden with flowers. Children push, pull and turn the sliders to help him plant, water the soil and watch the beds burst into colour. A puppy friend lends a hand with the wheelbarrow, and a mole, a squirrel and a snail are waiting to be spotted.
Why children love it
- The fun starts on the cover, where a slider wheels Bizzy away to reveal a bed of sunflowers.
- A repeating refrain, "Bizzy Bear, Bizzy Bear," that little ones soon join in with.
- Watering-can drops, buzzing bees and a garden shed full of tools to spot.
